About
Red Lodge After Prom is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization led by a group of parents who work in partnership with the school district, community and businesses to host the biggest party of the year and ensure RLHS students have a safe and unforgettable night of fun following the annual prom dance.
Mission
The mission of Red Lodge After Prom is to provide a safe and fun alternative to all of our high school students through a night of music, activities, food, games and prizes.
Events like prom can end in senseless tragedies as a result of lack of safe options and we don't want that to happen in our town and school.
In addition, we believe that students thrive and make better choices when there is a strong relationship between the parents of Red Lodge youth, community members/businesses, and our local school district.
Red Lodge After Prom connects parents, a rock star community, and a supportive local school district with one common goal…our kids!
The devastating aftershocks of COVID still linger in our community and schools, causing a disconnection from past traditions and sense of unity among the community, students, parents, and schools. A group of enthusiastic and engaged parents have rallied to reunite the community, schools, students, and parents with the start of a new tradition at Red Lodge High School. We believe we can be a 'force for good' through this event and reunite and strengthen the bond between parents, the schools, and the community so that our students can thrive.
According to statistics reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, one in three alcohol related teen fatalities occur during the prom season. Prom and graduation should be a time of celebration and an opportunity to create lifelong memories for both students, and their families. It should not be a time for mourning or regret.
Vision
A strong and sustainable Red Lodge After Prom organization that is a leader in the state of Montana in providing a safe and fun after prom event and scholarships to deserving Red Lodge High School seniors. Our vision includes strong community support and investment as well as partnerships with local and state law enforcement, and statewide foundations that are committed to safe and healthy young adults.
